Last year, editors Zetta Brown and Nicky Wheeler-Nicholson Brown collaborated to publish Oil and Water ... and Other Things That Don't Mix, an anthology intended to raise awareness of and funds for the ongoing response to the gulf oil spill. I was fortunate to have my essay, "Out of Space-Out of Time," included in the anthology.
The book features a mix of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction by new and established writers, all dealing with the idea of conflict. Read more about the anthology in a recent review by writer Robert Fleming.
All proceeds from sales of the book directly benefit two non-profits whose work addresses the spill, Mobile Baykeeper and Bay Area Food Bank. Books can be purchased from me or online.
